Default Help needed to detect problem

Hi All,

I have a 2007 GB270 Wagon, car has done 54K miles and has just had a full service by Subaru4u in newbury. I have noticed over the last few days that the car especially when on an incline makes a strange noise when pulling off. Almost sounds like a fan belt squeel. It seems very strange as it only occurs when under resistance.

Any thoughts on what this could be? I was thinking it could be clutch related potentially.

Are you sure it's NOT drive belt squeal?

I really am not sure, would drive belt squeal not be constant regards of resistance. I know the cam belt was changed 4000miles ago so not sure what else would cause this. Seems strange.

if it's been changed recently, it will probably be that, it might not have been set at the right tension, even if the old belt was retained.

Ill get the guys at Subaru4u to check it out. Seems unlikely as it was done by Subaru themselves so you'd think it be done correctly.
