Tips for getting bottom ball joint out of hub

Just open the slot in the middle where the pinch bolt clamps with a large screw driver. Doesn't usually need much. Undo the top roll bar drop link bolt that will let the arm drop lower. Leave the nut on the bottom of the ball joint in the arm and lever the arm to get it free from the strut. Wd40 will be your friend mate.

Any tips for doing with the hub off the car as I had my bearing done this morning had to hit the thread quite hard to get it free from the wishbone now the thread is knackerred got it in a vice at the minute trying to lever it up but no luck yet I have put tonns of wd over also

plus a big lump hammer.
If it hammers all the way on without splitting the joint, use it as a pry bar (can't do that with the short length splitters).
Note that this tool will often f**k up the ball joint gaiter.
