Big marks on one piston from valve failure
Hey there, i just bought a complete EJ257 (stock) that i will fit with my JDM V3 heads and make it a hybrid for my classic Type-R
So the block was sold as a shortblock because it had a valve failure Piston#3 had some sexy times with the valves.
Now there is pretty big marks on the top of the piston, but when the heads are fited the compression is very good and there is no marks or whatsoever on the walls.
Will it be safe to run with that piston? or will the detonations be bad or something?
I wont run any big powers this season just get it remaped on E85 and safe boost with a 20g or VF22/23 turbo, (will stop at like 330 BHP)
