Default Hawkeye STi is this normal???

Hello, I have a 2007 Hawkeye STi 2.5uk with very low mileage as car is just used at weekends. I took the car for a service last week, and was told by the mechanic that the cooling fan has seized, and as they had no part in to fit at the time I was advised to drive with the air con on until I get the part replaced next week, Anyway Yesterday I noticed that what I assume is the AC pulley/belt stopping and starting, acting strange. Here's an example of what it acts like from YouTube (not my car in video just an example).
And.
Mine acts just like this, stoping and starting a lot is this normal? Do you have any idea what it could be? I'd be grateful if anyone can help Cheers Mark

It has a magnetic clutch so that the compressor stops if the pressure reaches the cutout pressure.............................
