Default intake pipe blowing off??

I was driving giving the car some stick but nothing excessive and the engine seemed to loose a little power/stop gaining. As if i was at the limiter but i wasnt near the redline. And the intake pipe from the front mounted intercooler blew off. What would cause this? It blew off about a meter before the turbo near where it exits the inside of the wing. It was fairly tight too.

Boost pressure.

It's not an intake, it's a pressurised system.

Obviously was`nt tight enough, Just a pressure build up due to what its designed to do, You can get a glue/sealant designed for use with silicone hoses.

Oh ok nothing to worry about then thankfully. The only thing is after i put it back on the car seemed to have a slight misfire that wasnt there before and smelt of petrol a little badly at times. Could i of blown another pipe or something else? I looked around and all pipes seem to be ok.
