Default Boost solenoid question

Last night I experienced a bit of judder in 5th gear on full boost, looked on the forums and people put it down to maf or boost solenoid, I've ordered a new maf, but finding it hard to source a new boost solenoid, only second hand ones, can anyone point me in the direction of a replacement?

It's a wrx 1996 jdm 260bhp, no mods at all.

Also before people ask I know I could clean them both but it's a 16 year old car so might as well put fresh parts on as I go along.

Cheers guys.

Probably not. I "think" yours is a 2 port and that is a three port.

Normally when the solenoid is dirty/broken you don't get " judder" you get a sudden loss of power (fuel cut) which feels like you are about to head butt the windscreen.

Well this can be set up as a two port too!, it's only slight judder in 5th on full boost, thought this would be one of the culprits.

Very much doubt it a boost solenoid myself. Have you a boost gauge? What is it doing in 5th?

I don't have a boost gauge, I'll fit the new maf tomorrow, I'm wondering if its down to me putting in 97ron instead of 99ron the other day, I always use 99 but got caught short.

Very much doubt it is the fuel

Have a read of the ECU to see if there are any fault codes http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.p...gECUCodes#toc3

And after you have put in the new MAF reset the ECU http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.p.../ECUReset#toc3

Does anybody know the diameter of the hoses that enter/exit the solenoid? They need replacing and can't find a part number so was just going to buy a couple of meters of hose.
