JDM STI 2003 version 8 and version 9 questions
Hi all,
After some research into buying a JDM spec STI, I have come to a conclusion to get either the version 8 or the version 9.
For some reason the 2003 and 2004 JDM STI are both blobs and the 2004 (version 9) STI has a slightly different interior. I even noticed that some of the version 9 is the hawkeye spec. Is there any difference between the version 8 and version 9 in terms of engine and other features?
I have also read that many people prefer the version 7 and version 8 motors as they can be pushed more as compared to the later models...
If you were in my situation and you were given the choice between the version 8 or version 9 JDM STI blob then which one would you go for if everything was stock and why?

im pretty sure it is yes but i may be wrong.
the nine will be worth more than an 8 so if you have the money probably best going for the nine.
it is the next evolution of the sti so has extra revisions including larger hubs and updated interior.
Engine wise on the JDM V8/9 are virtually the same, There are no major differences between the years, The V10 hawk got a little more torque as standard but that's all down to the map AFAIK, As above on the other bits.
