Hello all,

First week on Impreza ownership and needing a little advice, my classic turbo 2000 is mapped to 265/250 and holds boost very well, however there is a slight flutter/odd noise when boosting from low revs in a higher gear, on looking over the engine when cold I notice this


I know my way around N/A engines but I am new to turbo charged ones, is this an easy fix? What could be the problem? Gasket etc? and what do you think needs replacing to fix it.

I'm guessing I will be losing some boost with this problem?

Anyway, sorry about all the questions and thank you for any advice!

 

Turbo to downpipe gasket needs replacing. Easy job but soak all the bolts in WD40 before starting the job.
