Default Flexi joint

Hi guys. Got a japspeed decat downpipe and centre section which has been joined to an afterburner vortex backbox on my classic. Now as the japspeed pipes are all different lengths to other exhausts, I had the backbox modded to fit. Now I have scraped the flexi joint in the centre section and have a nasty blow *coming from it. I can't afford to replace the whole exhaust at the moment and garages want £100 plus for a new flexi joint because it is a 3" system and there ain't no way im paying that when the whole exhaust isn't worth a lot. Is there any way I can fix this on the cheap while I save for a brand new full system?

If you just want to silence it you could heat wrap it. Did that on my Bug for a couple of years on a crap joint.
