Default Walbor pump

My car was mapped on a standard pump so I went and got a walbro pump fitted it and no it will not go over 4000 revs as if its holding bk now should it be mapped with the new on its as if its getting to much fuel now ?

You do not need a map/tweak after fitting a walbro fuel pump as it makes no difference what so ever to the fuel pressure as the reg determins this,. Have you fitted the sock on the bottom the right way around ?

Yes you do need a tweak, a more powerful pump delivers more flow into the same pressure, so you will be over fueling on boost especially if your std fuel pump was weak at the outset. The pressure reg control pressure not flow.

Good point about the fitment possible problem though thats worth double checking.

cheers

Hows that work then bob ?

The walbro will make more fuel readily available but the reg keeps the pressure the same so it wont affect the amount fuel the injectors pass into the cylinders ect

If the pressure was upped then yes i can see this but as its not im miffed trying to understand this.

Some pumps have the pin at the wrong side mate so you end up having to fit them back to front if you know what i mean
