I've developed a very annoying rattle I think it's the front heat shield now before I rip it off does a serve a huge purpose or it is best to just tighten it up? Bit of a noon with stuff like this so any advice is appreciated it's on a 00 impreza sport, please help it's driving me nuts!

 

They do keep the heat away from wiring and the underside.

I'm not sure about heatshields on the sport, but there's shields on the headers and I believe down pipe too...can you tell which one it is?

 

its was a shield of some sort ive sorted it now cheers
