Default Newbie crank sensor prob

Hi every one I'm new on hear iv just bought a impreza sport R reg got it as a none runner but it's moted an taxed. It's has no spark fault code is saying crank sensor would this stop the spark?it's got the brown type fitted I want to buy one from eBay there are black ones on eBay can any one tell me it they are the same ? The one I want to buy is ebay number281033947803 and has any one got an idea of ruff cost of a new one in a motor factor none of my local factors are open yet my car is a 2.0 sport R reg thanks for any info

the sensor will cause none spark issues, I wouldnt bother with 2nd hand, its a gamble how long it will last.

Yes - black and brown crank sensors are interchangeble.
