I have the forge, and it is a well built bit of kit, and serviceable as well. Forge kit is always good in my opinion. Only thing is that mine caused my car to overboost from 1.5 bar to 1.7 momentarily on wide open throttle. Just put the OE item back o0n and the overboosting is gone.

Explain that!!

Ow really.... I was a little worried that my standard one would leak on my 98... Not going to be running big power as only going to be running a td05 18g..

Well, if you are getting it mapped anyway it could be mapped in for any changes introduced by the valve. Its a good bit of kit.

If the OEM BOV leaked and was mapped with a leak, the new kit that didn't leak would cause an issue.

A map is needed even for a BOV to make sure its 100% tiptop......

Now that sounds entirely plausible. I didn't even think of that! The boost drops off earlier than I would expect, could that also be a symptom of the leaking OE recirc?

When in doubt..... ask BOB! (Rawle)

I know mine has a small leak, via the gasket. But is mapped as such and boost holds fine and i'm not changing the BOV till next map, next spring.

Yeah, I think I'm going to re-fit it when I buy a couple more bits for the car, I have a japspeed up-pipe fitted which I'm not sure about, I have a classic STI up-pipe which Ill swap round with it, contemplating a FMIC as well. If Im going to get a map tweak with Duncan I might as well maximise the return for the outlay.
