Default Jdm mirrors with NISSAN switch?

Hey guys.

I bought some jdm mirrors a few weeks ago. I opened the box today to see when colour wires to buy, and he switch is frickin branded NISSAN.

Should I be concerned?

Thanks for the help in advance.

You will find a lot of switches etc are used between car manufactures.

I have always wondered if it be cheaper getting them from Nissan.

As i have just stated in the Pm, this is the original switch from my JDM sti. Quite a few of the imprezas switches are nissan branded if you look closely. I have just removed the DCCD switches from a newage impreza which are also nissan branded. Whats the issue?

Yeah the Impreza switches are made by Nissan. Loads of car companies share parts.

Am sure my door switches are branded Nissan, nothing wrong with sharing parts. Some expensive cars like Aston Martin and rolls Royce probably share parts with lesser brands. It's not worth the r&d to make something that's easier to buy from elsewhere.

I have no issues with other brands at all....I have been fiddling with cars long enough to know that, but I guess because I had not seen any pics of the switches in the how tos, and the 9 wires on the pigtail threw me.

LOL, no wiring diagrams needed for this conversion, just a bit of common sense.
