While I agree with you to a point (i.e. a good driver in a sport makes for a rapid rate of progress), I would argue that if the Sport really was just as "capable", there would be no turbo model. I assume you were trying to say that the chassis is very capable and will allow similar rates of progress through bends.

PS: re exhausts...
Normally aspirated engines have different requirements of the exhaust backbox system than turbocharged units. You may loose a lot of low to midrange torque but gain a little top end power if you fit an turbo backbox. Fuel economy could also go down the pan, so to speak.
