Blown head gasket??
hay all,
New to these threads and new to subarus..
After owning mainly clio's i decided to make the change to subaru needed something faster.. even after all my friends tried talking me out of it.. so i find the one im looking for on ebay check it out the best i can while it's on the bloke's drive seemed ok.. drive 250 miles back home no problems then week or so letter starts vibrating on set off and slipping in 3/4/5.. so replace clutch needed recon gearbox skimmed flywheel bearing the lot.. was an unexpected £700 i wasnt expecting to pay out in first month then another £600 on 4 new tyres..
And now im 98% sure my head is going after recently doing a short 10mile trip with quite alot of boost/turbo i pulled up at my mechanics house and there was coolant spewing out of the header tank (week priour i used K-seal in rad) so we let it cool down he then started it back up squeezed a water pipe while reving the car to boost and said my heaad was gone as he could feel the turbo through the pipe and was presurised..
this is the only sign of the head going it'snot using water no funny smell's via heater blower's no over heating no smoke no exhaust bubbles in overflow tank
Any of you guy's have any other ideas what it could bear spending another £1200/1700 on her as much as i have enjjoyed driving her thanks in advance

As above get it sniffer checked and also try bleeding the water system to see if its air locked. To do this take pipe off header tank that goes to the turbo and the top left small rad hose, then put hosepipe on turbo hose and flush through till just water comes out of radiator ( no air). Put hoses back on and heater and blowers on full to check heat whilst engine is running. Might help and its one more thing checked off the list

Never use k seal should be band...
Drain ya water system put hose pipe in expansion bottle and see if I comes out top rad hose disconnected of the rad.
Or do leakage test
Or sniffer test
Does it have a plastic header tank? Could be any amounts of stuff
