Default Injector testing

Hi to all,

Anyone knows if is possible to test an injector with a multimeter or etc.. to see if the injector is good?

I did a hole in the 3 piston at 160 miles /hour on highway.... the result was a 1500£ repair, but the mechanic never said why did it that happened, I've searched and seems to be a mal functioning injector, I only don't know how to test it people, would appreciate your help on this scoobie fans!

at 160mph on the highway lol good start, i guess that thrashing you car flat out caused your piston to melt.

lol maybe a little less . I'm not telling that I didn't trashed the car myself, it is just the mechanic never said what caused piston to melt.
Now the car is running, but has hesitations mainly on 3000rpm, and after 4.500rpm is smooth.
I have read around here that injector failure is a common fault, so I don't know.

I think that with a multimeter, you can read the resistence from the injector, just don't know if the current imposed by the multimeter will damage the injector.

You can measure the reistance, the current from the multimeter will not damage the injector and its best to do it with the injector disconnected from the ECU. Not sure what the resistance should be but you can check they are all the same as a starting point. Might be wise to have the spray pattern checked.

This impreza is high impedance, it should show about 18ohms.
Yes I also would like to check spray pattern, and flow but how you do it??
