Post 2.1stroker what is needed ?

Hello
I am currently running a 1999 subaru impreza turbo with a transplanted 2004 sti 2.0 and am wanting to get the engine stroked. My mate has given me his spare ver 9 nitrided crank my question is what else do I need to do to stroke the engine out to 2.1. I am on a budget who isn't these days so any advice would be appreciated as well as recommended makes of parts would help. Trying to keep costs down so doubt RCM or cosworth will be in my list either. I know the easy way is to go to engine tuner, scoobyclinic, lateral etc to buy their kit but don't have that kind of money in one bulk amount prefer to do it gradually
Anyways thanks in advance for any help you can provide
Cheers
Kris

Hi Kris

What is your power target?

If you are looking for 500-550bhp I would choose Mahle pistons,Manley rods,ARP 11mm Headstuds,11mm Oil pump(if you are looking to run AVCS),ACL Bearings set and new water pump

Speak with this company about the options on the pistons, rods etc, they're great company and really I can only recommend them

And as above Alyn said you will need 2.5L crankshaft

Ah did it realise that there was a 2.0 and 2.5 crank for the ver 9 model how do I check ?
Jura looking at the high 450-500 mark got a sc50 billet turbo to go on and at the mo running small port avcs but upgrading to Jdm big ports soon.
Thank you very much for the advice will try to site and ask for their advice.

I've seen people refer to a wide track blob as a v9 and others refer to the hawk as v9

If it is a hawk and a uk car it will be a 2.5 which is the correct crank for stroker

If from a blob eye or a hawk jdm (import) then it will be 2.0 crank and wrong item for stroker

Measure the stroke of your mates crank, 79mm for a 2.5 crank and 75mm for a 2.0l
