Default Classic de-cat solution

Dear all.

I have searched but I need some advice specific to my car please.

I have a MY99 Classic wagon with a stainless backbox. It's subtle, I like it but I want better throttle response and just a little more noise.

I spoke to Greenlight Insurance who said they would be happy with a sports cat as the car has to be MOT compliant. I tend to agree - I am not power hungry.

Question is what option do you think will work:

1. De-cat centre pipe and OEM downpipe with OEM cat - will it pass emissions?

2. De-cat centre pipe and new downpipe with sports cat.

3. De-cat downpipe and centre section with sports cat. (surely the cat will be too far away to be effective!).

I am happy to buy used gear.

Many thanks

J
