Which version do i have?
Hi all. I am a little confused as to which version impreza i own. It is registered in 1997 but as far as i am aware it is a 98my version 4( thats what i have been told). The chassis code starts GC8E and the engine code is EJ20k. Any help would be appreciated and would make ordering parts much easier.
Thanks. Brian
Thanks. Brian

V3/V4 dash are different, V4 has a facelift dash same as V5/V6 dash, it can be changed as well but its a pain to do so not many people do it.

V4 has the earlia front bumper as well, bumpers were only changed on V5/V6. Sounds like you have a V4 mate, as above get get some pictures up

It wont have a version then, only STI's from 1994 original (even they didnt have a version, versions started with the 1996 car), 1996 (v2), 1997(v3), 1998(v4), 1999(v5) & 2000(v6) models.
A wrx will just have a model year, so yours looks to be an MY98 WRX.
