just found out my turbo is knackered so im looking for a replacement but i have a question

if i was to replace with the same turbo-would i need a remap? i only want to replace with the same again due to cost as if i went bigger i would need injectors etc etc and cant really afford it before xmas

car is a wrx blobeye 54 plate running ecutek map on standard td04 turbo

Yep straight swap fella as long as its a tdo4 for a td04.

As long as it was'nt mapped on a failing turbo.

 

Isnt it wise to have the map checked anyway as some turbos seem to have massive variations even on a like for like basis. Not a remap but surely your mapper should check it's all running OK before you give it the beans.

 

at you should'int be too bad for cost as your picking up td04's these days for very little
