Default rpm

Hi i have a slight problem with my car its a uk spec 1999 classic.
The problem is when i stop or slow down the revs drop right down and it nearly cuts out but then the revs pick back up.I was thinking could it be the maf or knock sensor. I have cleaned the maf and also changed the plugs,Any other people had this if so what should i look at changing first.Have owned the car for 5 years never had this problem before.

Another thing, do you have a VTA Bov on your car.

Had this on my last scoob, especially after remap and turned out to be the bov, but when i put recirc back on it was fine.

just an idea.

Cleaned idle control valve out and replaced my bov with my old one. Also checked for codes no codes found done a reset .So i think it has to be the Maf.
Any idea where i could get on from and how much.
UK SPEC 1999 CLASSIC.
