Default Heat wrap moisture

Hi all,

I only use my Classic once, maybe twice a week now. The headers are wrapped & the wrap seems to be collecting moisture as when I use the car I get a cloud of steam for the first few mins (quite a worry 1st time ! ) until they dry.

I have checked & it is the wrapping.

I don't really want the wetness to corrode the flexi in the joining pipe - so my question is should I remove it for the winter ?

Cheers,

Mine has stayed on the car for a couple of winters and no problems - no different to the damp just sitting on the exhaust I suppose

I read a few stories about them causing rust issues so I didn't wrap mine when I had the chance. I'm no expert tho.

i wraped mine last year and all the salt water from the gritters made mine fall to bits. Back on standard headers for now.
