Hiya everyone I've noticed recently I'm getting oil in my fmic piping and my dump valve is spraying bits of oil out everytime it dumps is this known to happen I've heard of some cars cossies doing it but never known the cause. Is there anyway of stopping it. Cheers
funny you mention this, i took out my DV bungs the other weekend (running DV less) and one of them had oil on the bung , when i done a quick check on here on the search bar it threw up some threads and people mentioned a bit of oil here in IC is normal, car runs fine so did not really bother me
It's not excessive but when the dump valve dumps it leave a fine mist of oil where it's pointing working it hard work to keep it clean ect. I thought of fitting a catch tank but I was sure if it would cure it
It's currently running a vf35 will that be ok without a dv. Enoughthough I do like the noise I have to admit lol
not really and i think they mean remove it if its a vta one and fit the recirc.
some oil in pipes is normal as the crank breathers vent back into the intake.
fitting a catch can vents oil breathers to the can to avoid it going back through the intake.

Oil in the inlet to the engine is not uncommon assuming your venting internally, but you do need to be aware of how much this is. If you're venting back into the inlet side, from your (assuming) OEM breather set-up, you should only be passing a fine vapour back into the inlet. If you have a lot of oil in your inlet then something isn't right and you need to get that investigated asap imo.
If you're "spraying" oil out of the dump valve, I would suggest you may have a problem that requires resolving.
It's not vast amounts guys I imagine it those odd bits build up though. Any recommendations on a catch tank type or size ect do they come with a fitting guide
