fmic fitted now misfiring
i have just fitted the fmic and tried going round the block but it seemed rough and was misfiring.
has anyone experienced this?

dont fit parts like this without a remap or your engine will go booooooooooooooooommmmmmm!!!!!

this is true but either way it will need mapping.
if it made the sound of a baloon going down this is boost leaking

Sounds like a boost leak. I take it you have a MAF?
Re check all the pipework & make sure everything is connected properly. You should not get any hesitation after fitting a FMIC. Regardless of remap.

it still has the maf and will it 100% need a remap?

Mine ran perfectly well after the FMIC instal. I never used a lot of throttle but it ran and boosted fine although laggier than before. I kept an eye on the KS3 knock meter and if anything was less active than before!
It's now got a bigger turbo and mapped.
If it was misfiring, there must be a problem somewhere.
