Default got a couple of problems

hi all not been on for a long time sold my car but have now decided to buy it bk but got a couple of issues and wonder if any u guys know the problem

1 if i accelerate hard 1st or 2nd gear i get a whizzing noise its perfectly fine normal driving Ive accelerated in 3rd not hard but hard enough no whizzing it seem when i jump on accelerator in 1st or 2nd im thinking maybe gearbox or turbo but not sure

2 when i accelerate sometimes the car also seems to hesitate followed by a couple of backfires then change gear and seems smooth in next gear this also seems to worsen if i don't drive for a couple of days the car as got apexi ecu and as been mapped on optimax it is using normal unleaded as there is not a shell garage nearby but i have used normal unleaded before i sold it and it was fine

just in case its relevant the car is 95 sti type ra the engine im not sure brought fully forged 5 years ago

thanks

chris
