Yes you need to get it remapped, if you don't expect a huge bang and then a large bill.

what do you need it for??, if you haven't upgraded turbo or anything else then there is no point,especially if your not going to get it mapped.

If you've upped the boost with the boost controller and not had it mapped your asking for trouble too.
