As my misus keeps telling me , no-one will see how clean it is when the bonnets closed so why bother. I then show her the replies like your one and tell her to shut up !

Its easy mate just leave it in place . That stuff i use comes with a free brush , like a round paintbrush. Srpay a load on and use the brush up and down the fins. Its a soft brush so as long as you dont go mad it wond bend the fins. Then just rinse with a garden hose at low pressure. You will find you dont need to do it often , that dirt is probably just a buildup of it never being cleaned before.

Jeepers , the stuff i get is £2 in Asda ! Do you use alloy wheel cleaner ? You could still use the scid stuff , just dont leave it for long . Or neat snowfoam is a pretty good job , but wouldnt leave long either.

You have to remember that dirt is baked on , might take a bit off work the 1st time round. Let it soak and give it a good brush . Once that dirt comes off it'll be easier to keep clean.

that is true, didnt think off that!! i think what i will do at the weekend if i get time, is remove the intercooler completely and go to work like a mad man, dont like getting my engine wet with a watering can :P only thing i was worried about is causing damage due to putting to much cleaner on
