hi lads just bought mysen a forged dump valve for tmic im just wondering now looking at peoples opinions if to actually put it on can i be looking at engine blowing up if it fails? im also having a simtec fitted and mapped on thursday do i need to wait till i get it mapped or is it ok to put on before? iv got a version 5 sti gc8 cheers for any help

Unlikely you engine will blow up, but you can do slow but sure damage: bore wash, dilution of oil, etc. Your car, your choice.

I would certainly fit it just before any remap.
