Hopefully someone can help me

Changed my exhaust on sat and put a sports cat on (cobra) and now when I put my foot down you can hear the turbo spool up and loads of hissing and nowt else happens in fact the revs gets to 3500 and never gets any higher. I know there is a slight leak at the first joint (doughnut gasket) but I didn't think it would make that much of a difference.

Has my turbo gone? I or could it be somert else

hi was the sports cat new,sounds like its blocked if its 2nd hand ???

 

The fella I got it off said it had done 1000miles and to be honest it does look pretty new

So When driving you cannot rev past 3500 rpm?

What about when stationary and in neutral/clutch in? Can it rev then?

if not it sounds like classicgc8 is right.

 

When just revving it it goes straight past and when driving off boost it will also go past. It just happens when on boost.

 

?Limp home mode.

have you got had a check engine light come up?

 

No mate had no engine check light come on.

Rand Andy at Richard Henry's and hey its fixed, I forgot to fasten the pipe between the intercooler and inlet manifold and now boosts like a gud un.
