Default Alloy rad and FMIC

My radiator decided to crack on me whilst driving to Trax this morning. (Down to karma, I laughed at a broken cossie)

Looking at getting an alloy one but most are thicker than standard so I was wondering if it will fit with my Hybrid front mount?

My sound like a dumb question but don't want to get one and it not fit.

cheers in advance.

The core is bigger but the size is the same, the rows are thicker, means the fins are smaller, few mates brought cheap and they cracked and leaked, also a lot of people don't reckon it's needed unless your running 400bhp+, but it makes sense to upgrade when parts fail.

When mine blew on the Rollers at Charles' Simon JGM just told me to put an OE one on (I grabbed the one from his old Blobeye as it was round the back) as he runs std rads at 500+ with no issues.

As above, the oem rads are the best you can use in these cars and RCM only use oem rads in all their builds

Fitted new rad on Friday and very impressed how easy it was. Total time from start to finish was about 2 hours.

I went against general consensus and bought a Japspeed alloy one. Very happy with it. The only issue I had was that it was slightly thicker than the standard one so I had to trim the fan blades so they didn't touch the fmic pipes but if you are still dunning a top mount this won't be an issue.

Best part is that, according to the Power FC controller the car now runs at 6 degrees cooler, 86 instead of 92.
