Default crank locking tool

Hello from a newbie, does anyone know if the crankshaft locking tools on EBAY for the 1800cc engine will fit my 2000cc wrx crank pulley? or how do you lock the crank to undo the crank bolt? thanks, guess what job I am doing this week coming??

Theres a few ways to do it. No special tool needed. I choose to put 2 x 12mm bolts about 40mm long into the holes in the crank pulley and then a lever in between them to lock the crank

Other methods are car in gear, handbrake on tight and hope the bolt comes loose.

breaker bar on the crank nut and lock it on the o/s chasis rail or the floor, then quickly spin the starter

Thanks, I had thought of the 2 bolt method, but thought best to check first.
