1999 2.0 sport Mods
I have a 1999 2.0 sport with the ej20 engine and was wondering what kind of mods i can put on? It needs lowering desperately so can i use any wrx parts on it? Same with the exhaust as would like a stainless system on it.

Join Imprezasport.net - they would be better for answering your questions.
I bought my Mrs a MY99 Sport as she liked driving mine. Apart from looking like a classic Scoob they have very little going for them. You can spend a fortune and still have very little power extra and still be blown away by modern small hatches. The difference between them and turbo models is night and day. I will be selling the Sport very soon and buying something else. The AWD system saps most of the very modest power that the 2.0 N/A produces (140bhp from what I remember).
I'm with the gerneral concensus on this forum - save up for a turbo. Been looking a Blob STI's for my Mrs!

I had a couple of sports and loved them
WRX springs, seats and wheels with a nice back box. Will never be a quick car but if that's your budget then enjoy it.
I found the springs made a huge difference and they don't cost much.

got a lovely bugeye sport...my daily love!, coilovers, filter, and just ordered an un-even manifold (gives you that scooby burble)
had a classic sport a few years back, silver, wrx bits, loved it! :P
wheels, lower it (if you want/need to) and just enjoy the driving. use the rest of the time to save

Springs went straight on, dropped it just enough for me but stiffened it up a hell of a lot. Backbox is different because of different diameters of pipe but there are plenty sold for the sport that look nice, you would need new headers though to make it sound like a turbo. Get springs and seats and it will feel like a different car, mine did anyway.
