Default Air Con Belt

Hi All

Im guessing this is a pretty easy job but im not very technical and am worried about touching anything related to the cam belt lol

I want to put a belt onto my airconditioning unit as when i bought the car it did not have one attached and the tensioner was destroyed.

I have replaced the tensioner but does anyone know the best way to get the belt on past the cam belt?

The car is a 2001 bug eye wrx

Any help would be greatly appreciated as im new to Subaru's

THanks

It goes behind the alternator belt not the Cambelt.

Take cover off the top of the belts. Loosen the alternator adjuster so it drops far enough down to remove the Alternator/Power Steering Pump belt. Fit Air Con belt, Put Alternator belt back on and do up the adjuster on the alternator to tighten the belt again. Put cover on. job done.

there is a locking nut on the adjuster for the AC belt, dont miss this or you will break the adjuster

Yeah be very careful of this, as the adjuster is just made from plastic its very easy to break.
