ROCKER COVERS EJ20
Hi i have a 1999 scooby and i have a leak from the os rocker cover goes on exhaust and stinks how hard is it to do it do you have to take the headers off? or can you do it with them still on? thanks

It's quite a common thing.
I done mine a few months back - bit fiddly, but ok.
No need to remove the headers.
Remove the air filter box completely & you'll see you have a lot more space.
There are some PAS pipes that run along the top edge of the rocker cover, I undone the 2 bolts that hold it into place - this allows more space to lift in/out the cover. Lift the breather pipe out the way & undo the R/C bolts & it should lift out.
Do the reverse to re-fit it.
A bit of advice though, spend time on making sure both surfaces are squeaky clean & you use a quality sealer ( preferably a genuine gasket) - if not it will leak again in a few months (through experience !)

hello mate thanks for the advice mate just finished it i used gaskets from subaru absolute fortune taken it up the road a few times all is well i checked the other side but no leaks that side is it just the os that is a problem??? also mate is it hard to do the clutch on my car? cheers for the help mate

normally just the os thats common but if u brought the pair just do it so its done
As for clutch easy if u got the tolls and general knowledge do a search usin the search bar top of page i found a full picture guide
