Default 2.0 gx sport blob

car drives a1 no probs at all had a slight prob around 40mph in 5th gear around 1500-2000 rpm the car sort of like stutters as if starved of fuel/surges pull past that all is fine drives great in all gears no loss of power after this fault i have swaped plugs then fuel filter still the same and have just brimmed the tank of fuel aswell and is still there any ideas am off france this week eeeek

MAF sensor.

Remove and clean with some proper stuff and give that a try.
Either that or your just not used to the sluggish power a non turbo Impreza offers...lol

I didnt think there was a maf on them ?
02 sensor on a mates but that didnt idle right either.
