Default Steering Lock / Ignition Removal

Where is the steering lock, within the ignition barrell, how can it be removed?

How can i remove the ignition, and wire it into a switch retaining the engine immobiliser as i won't be getting a stand alone ECU just yet?

Thanks

Steering lock disable on Nasioc

"You would have to pull off the ignition cylinder, it's a pita, it uses tamper proof bolts that you have to spin out with a hammer and chisel. Then you'd have to grind down the pin that pops up to lock the wheel. You can replace the tamper proof bolts with normal bolts when re-assembling."

I'll happily remove the barrel but it's the immobiliser that i'm wondering about, i'm happy to have it there and i'll leave the key closeby, but i would like to remove the barrel.

Where does the receiver sit, within the barrel itself?

Thanks
