Engine swap
Been told it is an easy job (got a 99 STI).
I have plenty of mates on call to help but have been quoted £300 by my guys for them to do it.
How much will a swap cost me in fluids do you recon?
£300 sounds a chuffing bargain to me as I was thinking it might be half that in fluids?!
What we thinking boys? Do I man up and grab a hoist, or for the money you recon it is more...erm... sensible option?!! ha!
Thoughts and opinions please!

Just pulled the engine out of mine for a rebuild it was easy enough bout a days work, one issue i hit is the clutch frok needs to be removed on turbo models which i did not know lol (advice for if you decide to do it yourself). i've had to drain Oil, Water/Anti-freeze and powerstearing guessing you'll have to do aircon too (mine doesn't have). bout £40-£50 on fluids i'd say.

man up and reach for the hoist its only a case of unplugging pipe and electrical clips, 2 engine mount bolts underneath, 4 gearbox bolts and your clutch fork and out it comes i had mine out in 40 mins
