Default Wiring LC Switch.

I've got a simtec ecu with both anti lag and launch controll activated. I currently only have the anti lag wired in to a switch but would also like the LC done now. Is this something I can tackle myself or am I better off leaving it to a mapper?

Why would you need a switch for the launch control?

As when i had mine it would only work if in 1st gear, at a full stop and thottle fully pressed.

So chances of acceidentily putting it into launch is zero

You don't need a switch for the Launch as the Simtek uses the gearbox neutral switch. If the Launch has been set up in the map it will be enabled as soon as you engage 1st gear.

Thanks for the explanation I'll try it this evening. It was enabled in the map so I'll see what happens.

You can also have a switch. I have one fitted. On certain surfaces the launch control causes bog down hence having the option to disable it. Its only wired from the ecu through a switch to earth. im not sure if the ecu will need to be altered in setup slightly though. Speak to your mapper
