When I start the car from cold the revs seem erratic then hover around 1200 rpm with the odd bounce?!?! Then when I start the air con the revs bounce constantly like the maf is unplugged or something

Also when pulling up to the lights to stop I press the clutch and the revs go up on its own then settles to 1200 rpm.......

Car is WRX STI UK 05 with PPP

 

Getting worse

Booked into Prosport tomorrow at 9am so will let people know what the problem was as I tried to find out just surfing the net and nobody knows?!?!

 

Ok so I dropped off the car at the garage this morning and early indications show low compression in Cylinder 1, It was at 125 where as the others were at 150?!?!

Looks like its skipped a tooth on the timing as well after presumably being over revved?!?!

waiting patiently for the phone call as to how much to put it right
