Because of the decat on it and the check engine showing code 35 emissions canister purge control, which might have put it into safe mode.

hi ask engine mapper, but first thing i can think is 02 sensor located in down pipe? is it working ? and present?. poss fuel enjector blocked, poss fuel pump not feeding enough psi??? could really be many things. as u said mab a quick map ecutec might spot and diagnose the problem.if your going for a few more mods might be wise anyway for the ecutec map go way of hitting great hp. other thing is fuel filter might need a change, if its dirty enough could be causing fuel feed pressure probs.
