V1 STI, upgrade help.
ive just got my self a v1 sti as the weekend/track car, the misss will not allow me to go anyfurther with the blob, does give really good mpg tho lol.
. anyway i was wondering if i can put the later inlet manifold on the v1 to run the vf series turbo. also the ecu is a sa type and boosts to 14.86psi (thanks dan83590) does it hold just over 1bar all the way to the end or does it drop off. what would i have to do to run the v3 heads as these rev higher. a bit unfamilar with these early ones, thanks guys

The TD05 that should be on it as standard is capable of up to about 340 bhp. Is that not enough? The standard internals wont take much more.
Mega money to go beyond that.

I'd avoid the simtec, stick with the power fc, spend the cash saved on a swirl pot and good fuel set up, i'd also think about an oil cooler, much better place to put your money than an ecu that has no knock correction on a track car.
If its a genuine early sti ( not reffered to as ver 1 only version referred to were after ie ver 2,3,4 etc) i strongly reccomend you dont ruin it they getting quite rare now try keeping it original!!!!
