Where is the probe? Is it not on a wire?

Mine runs two: one for inlet, one for ACT. The ACT one is plumbed into the intercooler hard p[iping just before the throttle body.

The inlet one has it's probe held to the cone filter by two or three stitches of tough thread, I actually did do it with a needle

Mine came with a threaded brass bit which I fitted to a suitable hole in the hard pipe with Belzona, (like Devcon, but heat rtesistant, can be tapped, drilled etc.)

The adpator was two part, one threaded into the hard pipe, held with the Belzona, the other threaded into the first, and tightened onto the probe.

Maybe I can buy a adaptor for probe? What others done with probe with eBay kit ? Mayb I could make little so it's real tight for the probe to get in then smear a lil glue /silicon around it?

I drilled a small whole in silicone hose then pushed probe half way through hose ,( use a few mm smaller drill bit than the probe) and used super glue , ( theres probaly a better glue out there, but super glue seems fine)

also have seen them fitted like this ,

hope this helps

Same here.

I had a mate weld a boss to the intercooler right by the outlet and it's screwed into that.

What make/type of gauge is it Sonic?

I think I know which one you mean.

There was a thread on her in which someone had the gauge fitted but no sender and where he had it fitted looked good iirc.

Mine is fitted to the clocks surround, lower left. took me an age to make a suitable hole as the plastic is chewy and doesn't cut or drill well, but it's done and looks good, IMHO
