Air filter help

Im wondering if it is ok to put a cone filter on my impreza turbo 2000 or is it advised not to use them? I dont want to do any damage to the engine at all

If you are sticking with a top mount intercooler it's better sticking with a in box filter. K&N or Green for example

Stick with panel filter in the airbox mate, just replaced mine with k & n one. The panel filters do a great job unless you are running big power.
