Default Bugeye catch can fitted... Where?

Hi guys

Im in the process of getting the bits together to fit a catch can to my bugeye with sti tmic and aircon still fitted.

Has anyone got any photos of where they placed there catch can to their bugeyes and show any brackets that might have to have been made?

Cheers

Hi mate, thanks for replying and sorry for the delay in replying to you. That does seem the only place it can be mounted but I just can't see what is there that I can be attached to on the strut? Do you have any closer pics? Did you need to drill the strut?

Thanks

Thats cool. Sorry no-one else helped you, its a bit crap on here lately.

I don't have any better pics but i did use an existing threaded hole (perhaps its not there on a bug). IIRC i used one of the holes that holds the fuel filter in position, i could be wrong tho. I will go have a look in a minute and take another photo.
It could do with another hole being made in the strut so its held on with 2 bolts but it survived a thrashing around castle combe so its pretty secure.

Another option is to get a smaller lightweight battery and fit it next to that. Or depending on induction/intercooler setup it may be possible to move the abs pump a bit and get it in there. Passenger strut is the usual spot tho.

This is the best photo i could get:

I was wrong, its not the fuel filter bracket but some other bracket, i think for an aircon pipe or something.
