Default Service stamps or parts receipts?

Hi, just looking for general opinions,
If you service your car yourself and keep all receipts for fluids/parts etc as proof, is this accepted on the same level when selling and stating a 'full service history' as having a service stamp in the logbook?
I don't see the point in paying so much extra for a garage to do a simple service when I enjoy doing it and am perfectly capable, and will probably take a lot more care and effort than a garage (especially the dealers!)

Cheers, andy

Put it this way. On these type of cars, if i were looking to buy one. I wouldn't consider anything that doesn't have full or nearly full service history. But that's me.

If i were buying cheap run around then i wouldn't be arsed.
