Default Urgent need help bottom end gone

Hi people not left a comment on here for a while, my bottom end has gone on my version 4 impreza sti. Does anyone have any advice on how to go about gettin it fixed. a know its a big problem any advice too help is good thanks George

Depends on your budget, could just buy a decent second hand bottom end from a v7, its quite a bit stronger.
Or go down the full rebuild route but thats not cheap.

You could use s complete bottom end from any version and bolt your heads etc on. Some are better than others yes. An sti bottom end from 2002 on in 2.0 form would be ideal

anybody know anyone with a complete version 4 bottom end or engine, needin this fixed asap as its my main car for work, thanks George

Check the trader section mate, there quite a few breakers on there, a complete v3 or v4 sti engine will do but can use an sti bottom end off a newer model, there stronger but you will have too use your heads.

George, you DO NOT need to risk the earlier bottom ends, they wuill have loadsa miles on them and could do the same any time.

Find a newer model short motor.
