Default slight hesitation / stutter

ok 99 uk turbo impreza
got a slight hesitation/stutter when driving just before boost comes in around 2.5k rpm to 3k rpm when boost cuts in it seems fine , im not sure if this is because at the moment im running on wastegate pressure only as my current map is not suited to the mods and it was overboosting badly . rich at fb tunning disconected the boost solonoid and just ran a pipe from actuator to the turbo untill it gets mapped (booked with bob rawle 24th may) would running like this cause this hesitation ? do you think a spark plug change might help?
just trying to avoid any issues before the remap

Hi,

Has it been like it all the time ?
It's a common theme with 99/00 cars - mine does, so does quite a few others on here - something to do with the standard map I believe.

It happens the same with mine.

Changed the spark plugs as I thought that was the problem, but the symptoms kept the same.
Nothing to worry about, I guess.
Hope it gets solved with remap.
