Compressor stall?

Compressor stall?
Hi folks,
I have a MY95 WRX that I've recently added a decat downpipe to and I'm experiencing what I think is compressor stall in between gear changes....
The symptoms are that boost drops to 0bar when I push the clutch in to to change gear, and then it builds up to full boost again over a period of 1-2 secs when the next gear is selected with full throttle.
It may have always been like this, but the car has been off the road for a while, and I can't remember... The only other thing that's relevant is that it's running an ESL daughterboard and manual boost controller (to prevent overboost).
What do you guys think it is? Could the downpipe cause the compressor to stall? Or is it something more sinister?

that isn't compressor stall, that's your dump valve dumping all the pressurized air when you lift off the throttle and when you get back on it it has to build the boost again, sounds perfectly normal. If your esl board is remappable you shouldn't need a manual boost controller btw.

Thanks guys.
I'm running a recirc dump valve, and everything is fitting nice and snug.
I may be able to take the boost controller off now that all the other problems have been fixed (the daughterboard is not remappable), maybe that will help.
Maybe I'm falling into the trap of wanting more power... Again...

It's probably always done it, I've been driving N/A cars for six months and assumed that the boost was instant when you changed up. As P1Drifter says, it looks like the car's behaving normally.
