Does it only do it when some lock is applied? If so, get it up on ramps, all four wheels off the floor and supported by the jacking points, do it again and get underneath and look.

Could it be rubbing on the wheelarch?

What size wheels/tyres?

It doesnt do it when it is on the ramp only seems to be when there is weight on it. And im pretty sure then wheels are ok as its had the same wheels and tyres on for over a year now but has only recently developed the noise.

Thanks for the reply appricate the help

That makes me think that it's rubbing: it's only happening when the suspension is compressed.

Can you run it round and round a carpark, say, then remove the wheel and look for signs of any rubbing?

Im 95% sure that its not rubbing as the noise went for a couple of weeks and has come back. Plus it does do it in a straight line to. I have read about the sway bars could it be these?
